We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy Team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male and young offenders prison located in Islington, London with a capacity of nearly 1,200.

This is a full time role, with no nights or weekends! You will be joining a Pharmacy Team of 15, within a dispensary team of 6. This is a fantastic entry route into a Pharmacy in a unique environment, with lots of opportunities for training and career development!   This is a new role, created due to growth within the department.  
Hours:
  You will be working 37.5 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:00.  
Salary:
This position is full time, and youll receive an annual salary of £23,614 - £28,800
 
per annum - depending on experience.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Complete general dispensary duties and stock management 
  • Be working as an active member of the Pharmacy team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
  • Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
  • Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
  • Participate in dispensing of prescriptions and medical equipment
