Band 5: £34,521 to £41,956 a year pro rata, per annum  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

We are looking for a nurse with some experience in acute care and interested in developing their skills to support interventional procedures in Radiology. Candidates with no previous experience in interventional radiology will be considered. You will be joining a busy multidisciplinary team that deliver a high standard of care to our patients. You should have excellent team-working and interpersonal skills, to support the Lead nurse in planning and developing interventional services and be able to organise and manage your own work-load. You will need to demonstrate the ability to learn new skills, and work independently following training in a range of interventional procedures.

To provide nursing support in all areas of the radiology departmentTo assist in specialist procedures carried our in Radiology and ensure patients aremonitored whilst in the department.As a member of the Radiology team to participate in setting standards of care toensure the service to the patients is always of a high standard and maintained atthat level.

To provide safe and effective nursing care to patients attending theRadiology departmentThis will include both adults and paediatric patients as well as frail andelderly cohort.To manage procedural lists and implement nursing care according todepartmental/Trust guidelines, policies and procedures, ensuring accuratedocumentation.To assist the Radiographers and Radiologists in procedures as diverse asbarium examinations and interventional procedures such as biopsies andangiograms. This involves preparing equipment, ensuring asepsis ifnecessary, acting as scrub assistant when required, safely preparing andhandling all medical devices used, and ensuring consent form is signedTo participate in the procedure of ordering and maintenance of supplies toensure all necessary material resources are available for all sessions.
