The "Lead Nurse for Clinical Quality Assurance" role at Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust (Naomi House) involves overseeing clinical governance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and safe care for service users. The position requires collaboration with staff across all levels within the organisation to promote a culture of shared learning, risk management, and continuous improvement in clinical practice. The ideal candidate is a qualified paediatric or dual registered nurse with significant experience in a senior clinical role, responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, and leading initiatives in clinical policy development and practice.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Practice Education team in identifying learning themes, ensuring adherence to infection control practices, managing incident reporting, and providing clinical guidance to the care team. The post holder will spend a minimum of 20% of their time in clinical practice, actively participating in risk assessment and management, and contributing to the effective operation of the hospice services. Additionally, the role encompasses personal accountability for professional development and maintaining the highest standards of care in alignment with the Trust's values and NMC regulations.
