The Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine to join its expanding department and contribute to the development of front door frailty services. The role involves collaborating with a team of consultants to manage acute assessments in the Emergency Department, coordinate care through a virtual ward, and provide both inpatient and outpatient services focused on elderly patients. Key responsibilities include caring for 15 General Medical inpatients, participating in on-call duties for thrombolysis and acute medical patients, and supporting the integration of services across community and acute care settings.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in shaping services for elderly patients and will work alongside 10 other Consultant Geriatricians covering various specialties such as stroke and rehabilitation. This position requires active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and a commitment to delivering quality care for vulnerable populations while collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals in both hospital and community environments.
