CBC Health Federation is seeking a Band 3 Health Care Assistant (HCA) for a temporary 12-month contract to support Urgent Primary Care (UPC) services in Gateshead, working 18 hours per week. The role requires an enthusiastic and skilled individual with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility is essential, as the position includes evening and weekend shifts, supporting a service that operates 24/7 across multiple locations.

The HCA will assist the UPC team by performing various clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare services. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing, and approachable person, who is skilled and qualified in a range of HCA duties

It is essential that you have excellent inter-personal and communication skills and can demonstrate experience working unsupervised and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible as key requirements of this role involve some evening and weekend working.

The post-holder will support the Urgent Primary Care (UPC) Service which operates 7 days a week, 24/7.

The post holder will be responsible for directly supporting the UPC team with a range of delegated duties including hands on delivery of clinical procedures alongside administrative duties and co-ordination of services.

The service operates from several locations, including Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bede Centre and Blaydon Primary Care Centre.
