On behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, the post-holder is responsible for strategic leadership in the development and delivery of the Trust's Performance Framework. They will lead on the regular assessment of Trust performance against local, national and contractual performance targets and will have a leading role in the negotiation and management of the Trust's contracts for patient services including activity plans, funding levels, service developments, counting and coding changes, quality targets/penalties/incentives and information schedules. The post holder will lead be the Trust's primary point of contact with the wider SEL Sector partners, APC and NHSE on all performance and operational recovery related issues.The postholder will deputise for the Chief Operating Officer across the whole range of their duties including where necessary attending Trust Executive and Trust Board meetings.The post holder will be responsible for the leadership of the centralized administrative service for the Trust - providing validation, data quality training and some centralised booking services Trust-wide. The post holder will lead the direction and oversight of performance and assurance at an aggregate level across the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities and that any performance risks are identified in a timely manner. They will also lead on the design, development and deployment of the appropriate reporting and monitoring mechanisms to the Trusts and Clinical Groups Boards. The post holder will work at the heart of a complex set of accountabilities and relationships. They will be expected to develop strong collaborative relationships both internally with the Clinical Groups and externally with the ICB and APC and neighbouring providers whilst maintaining an objective and constructive view of performance and elective recovery issues. Build a robust and productive relationship with the ICB and APC in order to lead on the delivering the performance and elective recovery agenda for South East London.

The post holder will: Lead on the future design, development and implementation of the Trusts performance management framework, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively and provides the necessary assurance to the Trusts Board and Clinical Group Chief Executives. Develop the system and lead on the Trusts approach for capacity and demand modelling to support future planning and to monitor demand changes. Lead as the local expert on the performance management of healthcare services; integrating systems and managing effective working relationships with the appropriate stakeholders.
