Sexual Health Prevention Worker


Band 4: £26,530-£29,114


37.5 hours per week

Locala sexual health services are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the outreach and prevention element of the sexual health service.

As we extend our outreach and prevention provision across the Wigan and Leigh district, we have a new opportunity to recruit a sexual health prevention Worker to actively promote positive sexual health across all ages with targeted interventions for young people and vulnerable groups including young people with learning disabilities and Autism.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • The post holder will be required to establish and maintain relationships with key partners working closely with sexual health/PHSE champions and leads ensuring sexual health promotion is available at every opportunity.
  • The post holder will be required to support the RSE delivery and attend festivals and events to support the delivery of positive sexual health campaigns.
  • The post holder will be required to lead on the C card scheme and condom distribution for young people under 25.
  • The post holder will work innovatively to share key prevention messages including the use of digital platforms.
  • The post holder will be required to support schools and colleges promoting positive sexual health education.
  • A full driving licence is required.
