The Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist for the Hand Team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a Band 7 position that involves managing a complex caseload of patients with trauma, rheumatology, musculoskeletal, and orthopaedic conditions. The role primarily operates within Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals and includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons and nurses. Responsibilities include sharing leadership of the occupational therapy team, supervising junior staff, participating in training and meetings, and providing comprehensive patient assessments. The successful candidate will also engage in service development activities, education for various stakeholders, and quality improvement initiatives through audits and research.
