The role of "Senior Therapeutic Research Radiographer" at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust in Truro involves working with a Research Team to ensure the safe and compliant conduct of clinical trials in radiotherapy, adhering to UK Clinical Trials Regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The post holder will serve as a crucial link between the Radiotherapy Service and the Oncology Clinical Trials team, responsible for promoting, implementing, and coordinating clinical trials for radiotherapy patients. Key responsibilities include patient recruitment for trials, developing and expanding the research portfolio, managing ongoing care for research participants, and providing support and training to staff.

The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians and physicists, to deliver high-quality care and meet departmental objectives. The post holder must be willing to work flexibly, including being geographically mobile and working out of hours when necessary. The position emphasises problem-solving, compliance with study protocols, and effective coordination of service delivery.
