The South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist to join their Clinical Health Psychology Services Department, with a focus on Clinical Health Psychology within physical healthcare settings. The role offers the opportunity for flexible and part-time working arrangements and will involve collaboration with the Bariatric Psychology team and Maternal Mental Health Services team. Candidates will provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, while also contributing to training and supervision within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) environment.

The successful applicant will receive support from experienced psychologists for professional development, line management, and clinical supervision. They will engage in evidence-based practices addressing trauma and mental health in maternity services as well as supporting patients pre- and post-weight loss surgery. This position also allows for involvement in research and specialist interest groups, making it an ideal opportunity for a psychologist interested in physical health services and multidisciplinary collaboration.
