Band 2  PERMANENT 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Child Health Directorate as a band 2 Ward Clerk to join our friendly team of ward clerks.

We are looking for a ward clerk to cover hours to support the service through the week.

The hours can be negotiable but it is anticipated that the hours will be upto 3 days a week which could include an occasional 7.30pm finish and a morning over a weekend on a rota basis.

You will be working within a friendly team of ward clerks who are required to provide reception and administrative support to the clinical and nursing team as well as being the first point of contact for patients, parents, carers and visitors to the wards.

You will need to be organised with good communication skills as well as the ability to work in a busy ward area that can be challenging and demanding.

To provide administrative support within an acute setting for Child Health across all ward areas, to include Louisa Cary Ward, Short Stay Paediatric assessment unit (SSPAU) and Special Care baby unit (SCBU).

The post holder will provide reception and administrative support to the Clinical and Nursing Team within each ward area.
