The Ringmead Medical Group is looking for a pro-active and dynamic Health Care Assistant to join its ever growing nursing team.

This is a varying role and will suit a candidate with a flexible attitude, ability to multi task, a keen eye for detail, works well under pressure and has a great sense of humour.

Ringmead is a training practice and there will be an opportunity to progress including as a trainee nursing associate.

This is a clinical role working in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols. the Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of patient care.

About us

Your duties are likely to include:

  • Undertaking clinical tasks including venepuncture, wound care, administering injections and carrying out ECGs
  • Performing and recording clinical observations such as blood pressure and pulse
  • Health promotion
  • Discussing and sharing information with Registered Nurses and GPs on a patients condition
  • Ensuring the privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is maintained at all times
  • Recognising issues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults

Wound care experience is desirable.
