The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a MYDoc Clinical Fellow (ST3-5 equivalent) in Respiratory Medicine to join their Medical Division in Wakefield. The successful candidate will support the Respiratory Medicine specialty team by managing in-patient and outpatient care, participating in cross-site senior trainee medical on-call duties, and engaging in out-of-hours coverage. Responsibilities include caring for patients with both acute and chronic conditions, conducting outpatient clinics, collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, and supervising junior medical staff. Additionally, the role entails involvement in clinical governance, audits, and service improvement activities.

This position is based primarily at Pinderfields Hospital and is part of a recognized Clinical Team of the Year, which has maintained a commitment to high-quality care despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. The role requires an average of 48 hours per week, aligning with the 2016 junior doctor contract, with duties expected across multiple hospital sites within the Trust.
