As a Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical), you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of engineering plant and equipment within a modern NHS hospital environment. This includes working on hot and cold water systems, emergency generators, heating, ventilation, and building management systems, alongside performing fault-finding and repairs.
- Conduct complex and non-routine mechanical maintenance.
- Maintain systems including heating, ventilation, water, pumps, compressors, and motors.
- Perform basic electrical work as required.
- Collaborate with maintenance colleagues, ward staff, and other departments.
- Use and manage the Facilities Management system for job planning and reporting.
- Participate in the on-call maintenance rota.
