The Clinical Fellow in Transplant and Vascular Access Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust offers a clinical-focused position for a 6-month term, extendable to a year based on progress. The role involves comprehensive exposure to transplant and dialysis access surgery, including participation in operating lists for live donor work, vascular access, and general surgery. Fellows will manage in-patients, conduct ward rounds, and attend outpatient clinics, covering recipient evaluations, living donor assessments, and post-transplant care.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the fellow will engage in audit and governance activities, joining a rota with existing SpRs and Fellows for surgical middle-grade on-call duties. Operative experience will encompass living and deceased donor transplantation, laparoscopic procedures, and dialysis access techniques, alongside involvement in satellite surgical clinics in North West London. Teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and elective students are also expected.
