The Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is seeking an Administration Assistant for a one-year fixed-term contract at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, to cover maternity leave. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the team at Darent Valley Hospital, serving as the first point of contact for the administration team. Key responsibilities include handling phone inquiries, managing a generic email inbox, processing incoming and outgoing mail, ordering stationery, assisting with clinic letter typing, and supporting clinical staff. Candidates should possess strong administrative and data entry skills, a good education background including GCSE English and Maths, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal applicant should be proactive, friendly, and organized, capable of maintaining efficient administrative processes to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate medical records in the Patient Administration System (PAS), liaising with relevant departments, and managing patient correspondence related to appointments and investigations.
