Medicines Management and Pharmacy Services (MMPS) offers our team members fantastic career development opportunities, which has led to the progression of previous post holders. We now have excellent opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated Senior Pharmacy Services Assistants who already hold or are working towards a NVQ/QCF Level 2 Pharmacy Service Skills Certificate and who have experience in either a hospital or community pharmacy setting, to join our forward thinking and generally all round fantastic pharmacy team based at ward level. These are excellent opportunities to start a career in hospital pharmacy and to play an important role in being part of a team working to deliver an exceptional medicine supply service. By taking a patient first approach and through compassion and commitment you will focus on helping patients to optimise medicines use by involving them in making decisions about their medicines.
You will collaborate with other teams, communicating effectively to ensure a safe, seamless integrated transfer of care for our patients, providing an integrated delivery of medicines to ensure cost effective, safe and safe and appropriate use of medicines.
We have posts available across the ward support service at St James and LGI, covering many different specialities. The post holder will provide a variety of duties across the multi-speciality wards, including ordering and receipt of medicines, stock management including returned medicines, labelling & dispensing, liaising with patients and other NHS staff, answering telephone queries and clerical duties. You will also help to support our main dispensary at peak times.
