The Peer Coach position at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust in London is designed for individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges who can leverage their expertise to support service users. The role involves collaborating with the Mental Health Population Team to co-produce and deliver peer coaching services, as well as contributing a unique perspective to service development and decision-making processes. Peer Coaches will provide recovery-oriented advice and help influence care practices across various health and social care settings, including primary care and community organisations.

Candidates are required to have at least one year of peer work or coaching experience, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of local services. The position involves planning recovery-oriented activities, managing risks associated with support, and establishing effective relationships with various stakeholders, including service users, colleagues, and external agencies. This is a permanent role with both full and part-time opportunities, and successful applicants must be prepared to share their mental health experiences as part of their work.
