Job Summary: Bank Staff Nurse - Broadmoor Hospital
West London NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the Bank team at Broadmoor Hospital in Crowthorne, Berkshire. This role offers flexibility and competitive pay compared to London agency rates.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as a vital member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Co-ordinate patient care from admission to recovery, ensuring patient involvement in care planning and delivery.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and student nurses.
  • Lead shifts, manage crises, and handle complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment while upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Engage in direct patient care, including therapeutic, leisure, and educational activities, dedicating at least 70% of time to patient interaction.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to form therapeutic relationships and work with distressed patients in a calm manner.
