Aseptic Services is an exciting part of the Pharmacy Department where we provide a range of medicines which are prepared in a clean room environment following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking for a challenge. Although we are not patient facing, the work we do and the products we prepare are critical to the patients we supply them to in the hospital.
After completing the comprehensive training programme, you will work closely with your team mates preparing products in a clean room environment and using specialist equipment to make chemotherapy, adult TPN and antibiotics etc for patient administration.
No experience is necessary
as full training is provided.
To aseptically prepare products for patient administration. You will wear clean room clothing and be trained to work following strict clean room behaviours.
You will work within pharmaceutical clean air devices to prepare products such as Chemotherapy, Clinical Trials and Adult Parenteral Nutrition and must be able to follow standard operating procedures at all times.
You will assemble trays containing consumables and ingredients for 1st stage checks therefore must be accurate and be able to document information clearly and accurately.
The role involves some lifting, stretching, sitting for lengths of periods in restrictive clothing and cleaning of equipment following manual handling procedures.
