This is a Bank Chef position at Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. The role involves delivering hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks, assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while working with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food and create a warm, efficient and fun environment. You will help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control. You will also assist in leading and motivating a team. As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
NEED TO HAVE
A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
