An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Stroke CNS to join our Stroke Service based primarily at Hillingdon Hospital.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong clinical and leadership background to join our busy service on a full time basis.

We require a forward thinking nurse with drive, initiative and determination linked to a breadth and depth of knowledge of Stroke Services including nursing and its associated clinical services.

The post holder should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse leader, who is passionate about delivering high quality, compassionate care and who is equipped with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm

The Lead Nurse for Stroke Services is a leadership role within theTrust, responsible for the development of innovative nursing practicewithin the speciality.Have specialist skills in the care of Stroke patients including the coordination and delivery of treatments and evaluating patientmanagement.To co-ordinate the TIA and Stroke outpatient servicesTo be a core member of the MDT and actively participate in MDTmeetings and ward reviews.To ensure effective two-way communication with patients, carers andother healthcare professionals regarding patient care whilst supportingequality and diversity at all times.As a senior nurse within the Trust, they would participate andcontribute at senior level in service developments and initiatives.To respond to the changing needs of the NHS with positivity andcreativity.To identify risks within the service, report accordingly and identifyappropriate treatment plans to mitigate risk.Be a Non-Medical Prescriber to benefit the management of Strokepatients
