The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dispensary Manager for The Freeman Hospital. This role is ideal for a motivated Pharmacy Technician aiming to enhance their managerial skills in a busy acute hospital dispensary. The manager will assist the Specialist Lead Technician with strategic changes and provide leadership to the dispensary team, focusing on timely medication delivery to ensure patient discharge efficiency.

Key responsibilities include monitoring prescription turnaround times and dispensary workload, supporting the Deputy Dispensary Manager in staff deployment, and maintaining stock levels to meet Key Performance Indicators. The position requires excellent leadership, organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage a dynamic workload. Applicants must be GPhC registered and hold an accredited checking technician qualification.

The role involves participation in late, bank holiday, and weekend duties. Successful candidates will also support staff training and contribute to enhancing dispensary services.
