CLINICAL PATHWAY MATERNITY
The Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Allied Health Professional (AHP) Clinical Lead (Band 7) for a fixed-term position in Builth Wells, covering maternity leave for 12 months. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading therapy services at Glan Irfon Reablement/Rehabilitation Unit, a 12-bed facility focused on providing short-term assessment and rehabilitation for older adults with complex needs. Key roles will include managing service delivery, overseeing admissions and discharges, developing staff training, and implementing rehabilitation plans within the innovative Discharge to Recover then Assess (D2RA) model.

The Clinical Lead will work autonomously to deliver expert, patient-centered care in collaboration with GPs, nurses, and other AHPs. Responsibilities also encompass supporting the professional development of staff, contributing to service evaluation, and engaging in research to enhance service delivery and promote value-based care. Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not essential, and candidates must seek permission from their current line manager before applying.
