The role of Locum Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust involves providing medical support to the Home Treatment Team. The post-holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver effective, evidence-based psychiatric services to children and adolescents with acute, high-risk conditions. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients, formulating care and discharge plans in collaboration with various clinical teams, and addressing safeguarding needs according to best practices.

Additionally, the role requires the documentation of clinical decisions, participation in governance activities like clinical audits and appraisals, and assisting with emergency assessments during working hours, though there is no out-of-hours on-call commitment. The post-holder will also be responsible for administrative duties linked to patient care and the overall functioning of the service, including data collection and monitoring as directed by the Directorate Management Team.
