We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service as a Band 4 Clinical Support worker.The East London Intensive Support Team provides a 7 day a week urgent and intensive community response for people with Learning Disabilities with additional complex mental health needs and/or behaviours that services perceive to be challenging, that result in the person posing a risk to themselves or others. The service operates across the inner east London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and City and Hackney. The team will be based at our Tower Hamlets site at Mile End Hospital.The post holder will assist other professionals in the IST in providing assessment, care, treatment and discharge planning. This will be achieved through close collaboration with the person, carers, colleagues and other service providers. This may include supporting people during admissions to acute mental health wards.The post holder will work directly with service users to develop a rapport based upon respect, kindness and compassion that builds the basis of a professional relationship. You will have a significant role in supporting service users to engage with their agreed Care Plans, positively promoting independent living and recovery.Please note that the closing date of this advert is the 1st of July or when a sufficient number of qualified applicants has been received.
