The SCTS Post Certification Fellowship in Robotic Thoracic Surgery at Barts Health NHS Trust in London is designed for registrars who will attain post-CCT status by August 2024 and have significant senior thoracic surgery experience. The role involves providing comprehensive care to thoracic surgery patients, managing referrals, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and attending a structured educational program. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in the department's research initiatives related to robotic surgery within the UK's largest robotic thoracic surgery practice.

Responsibilities include acting as first assistant or primary operator in the operating theatre, daily ward rounds, supervising junior doctors, and presenting at audit and research meetings. Applicants must hold full GMC registration and an FRCS/MRCS or equivalent, and they should demonstrate a strong motivation to specialize in robotic thoracic surgery. The position may require on-call cover and entails a commitment to both clinical duties and professional development, with flexible working hours based on service needs and a generous annual leave allowance.
