The Senior Community Mental Health Practitioner position with Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust offers an opportunity for Registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers to join the North Yorkshire and York Perinatal Mental Health Team, serving areas in Harrogate, Hambleton, and Richmondshire. The role focuses on providing high-quality care for expectant and new mothers facing severe and complex mental health issues. Candidates should possess experience in community assessment and safety management, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of safeguarding procedures, with additional training available for those with a keen interest in perinatal mental health.

The successful candidate will play a key role in clinical leadership, helping to develop services aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan for perinatal mental health. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, providing clinical advice, supporting families in the community, and participating in crisis decision-making. The role requires a minimum of 18 months post-qualifying experience and the ability to travel independently across the locale.
