As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs effectively. With hands-on experience in property maintenance, you'll have at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. This role requires reliability, flexibility, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
In this role, you'll turn your hand to a variety of tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. You'll be comfortable working alone, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You'll also need to liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of your team. The wellbeing of our residents will be your top priority, and you'll ensure all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs.
