EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS NMC ROLE MODEL
The role of Paediatric Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department (ED) at Hinchingbrooke Hospital involves leading the provision of high-quality paediatric emergency services within the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will oversee care for infants, children, and young people in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all patients receive excellent support and treatment. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as the individual will be responsible for supervising junior staff, guiding team development, and maintaining a positive patient experience while rotating between the Urgent Treatment Centre and the Emergency Department.

Candidates must possess a live NMC registration or be UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as the trust is unable to support OSCE applications at this time. The role offers an opportunity to enhance clinical skills and leadership confidence within a diverse and supportive team, while participating in the management of a busy ED that serves over 100,000 patients annually.
