Job description
Colchester Medical Practice are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and accredited primary care counsellor to join our team to provide a counselling service for adults, on a two year fixed term contract. This role can be offered on a full or part-time basis for a minimum of 22.5 hours to 37.5 hours per week.
We provide low and high-intensity therapies within the standards of a stepped-care model and require an individual with significant experience of working in primary care and providing brief counselling sessions for patients with depression.
- Providing initial assessments, including risk assessments.
- Offering appropriate short-term counselling or referral on to more appropriate services.
- Communicating outcomes to GPs/referrers.
- Working autonomously within professional and service guidelines and to exercise responsibility for governance of their counselling practice.
- Delivering face-to-face and online remotely.
Colchester Medical Practice will offer a service that operates between the hours of 8.00 am to 18:00pm.
