The Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ward Manager for the Inpatient Gynaecology Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital. This role involves providing strong leadership across various units, including the Gynaecology Ward and Daycase Unit, while ensuring high standards of compassionate patient care, particularly during challenging times. The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of creating a therapeutic environment and promoting continuous improvement in care delivery.

Key responsibilities include undertaking clinical care, addressing patient and carer complaints, conducting staff appraisals, managing the unit’s budget, and maintaining staff training compliance. Applicants should have at least five years of post-registration experience, including two years in a leadership role, as well as experience in gynaecological patient care. The role emphasises effective communication, problem-solving, and continuous professional development.
