You will be part of a close-knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of pre-assessment and outpatient care to our patients and their families. Our outpatient team is comprised of experienced nurses and healthcare assistants supported by our welcoming Outpatients Manager, Maggie.
As well as undertaking basic duties you will function as a clinical practitioner being responsible for the delivery of patient care, pre-operation assessment, managing and organising a work load on a daily basis.
Some of our work is planned Nurse led clinics, but we now offer our patients One Stop option - they are seen by the consultant and if listed for surgery, they are assessed on the same day, passed fit for surgery or other investigations arranged.
The outpatient department is a very busy environment covering many specialities, some 3000 appointments per month.
As a result of this some of the clinics are off site, so you will not be solely based in Ilford Hospital
You will liaise with the wider Practice Plus Group medical team to ensure the patients treatment is carried out whilst maintaining the principles of patient confidentiality.
