Job Summary:

Clinicians working with ADHD 360 will be part of a dedicated team, committed to patient excellence are expected to deliver treatment with passion, ownership and commitment. As an integral part of our organisation, The ADHD Clinician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating and monitoring treatment plans. You will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, providing essential services to individuals seeking support for ADHD.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate adults, and young people for ADHD, considering potential co-occurring conditions to inform diagnostic decisions.

Apply clinical judgment and experience to make treatment decisions, utilising advanced skills and knowledge in managing ADHD in adults and young people.

Exercise independent professional responsibility for diagnostic decision-making within competence, whilst receiving monthly supervision from Team Leads.

You will practice as a non-medical prescriber (independent/supplementary prescribing) to develop and implement treatment and titration plans, ensuring physical observations are obtained and reviewed (height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse) ensuring treatment decisions are safe and in accordance with NICE guidelines and organisational policies.

You will support the patient throughout their treatment journey, conducting regular follow ups for adults under your care until they have reached stability and optimisation.

Perform patient risk assessments and review safeguarding needs in conjunction with treatment strategies during the patient journey. ADHD 360 have patients across the lifespan and we must always be aware of our responsibilities regarding the safeguarding of adults and young people in our care.

Maintain accurate and timely client records on Chrysalis and associated clinical templates, adhering to professional requirements for accurate record keeping.

Responsibility for ensuring that the prescription is written as per legal requirements for controlled and non-controlled drugs. You will ensure that the prescription is recorded in the Chrysalis Log and the Quality Assurance Process is followed line with ADHD360 policy and procedures.

Demonstrate a clear understanding and adherence to security in relation to prescription security and management.

Participate in regular line management supervision, supervised assessments, appraisals and team meetings/case discussions.

You will be responsible for recognising and reporting clinical Incidents and near misses to your team lead, to support the culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will be responsive to requests from Clinical Assurance and Patient Experience team to participate in investigations where required.

Be accountable for ensuring that mandatory training and clinical supervision is completed and sustains independent prescribing status. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is expected, and the post holder should expect to have responsibility for their learning whilst also engaging in CPD events provided by ADHD 360.


Qualifications and Experience:



Qualified nurse, current UK registration and PIN with the NMC (Essential)

Qualified Non-medical Prescriber (NMP) with current registration (Essential)

Specialist ADHD Nurse with experience (Desirable)

To work unsupervised and independently within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. (Essential)

Expert level of understanding of the pharmaceutical treatment options for ADHD (Desirable)




Demonstrable Skills:

Demonstrable ability to connect with and provide support for Adults and young people.

Familiarity with EPR systems

Willingness to learn and follow clinics standards of practice

Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients

Sufficient IT skills to be able to undertake a remote post with virtual assessments

Ability to work alongside others within a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Professional approach consistent with regulatory body expectations

Excellent time management and ability to manage own workload
