The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow for its Colorectal team. This position involves participating in various aspects of the Colorectal service, including theatre work, outpatient clinics, and being part of the General Surgical on-call rota. Although this is not a formally recognized training post, the successful candidate will have access to comparable training opportunities and will gain extensive experience in both general surgery and subspecialty colorectal practices. Responsibilities also include teaching medical students and engaging with a diverse range of surgical procedures, including the use of advanced technologies like the DaVinci surgical robot.

As part of a busy unit, the Fellow will take part in standard clinical practices and on-call duties alongside other middle-grade doctors in general surgery. The Colorectal team manages a variety of complex cases, including pelvic floor surgery and inflammatory bowel disease, within a multidisciplinary framework.
