The role of "Specialist Physiotherapist Musculoskeletal Outpatient" at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust involves working within a collaborative outpatient team to provide advanced care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, primarily referred from orthopaedics, rheumatology, A&E, and occupational health. The successful candidate will participate in the trauma triage clinic with orthopaedic consultants, manage their own caseload, lead patient classes, and supervise junior staff and students. The position requires completion of core rotations as a Band 5 Physiotherapist, with a focus on MSK and orthopaedic experience, and involves participation in in-service training, quality improvement meetings, departmental audits, and research initiatives.

Candidates should possess strong assessment and treatment skills, demonstrate evidence-based clinical reasoning, and be willing to partake in weekend orthopedic rotas. The role offers the opportunity for professional growth through structured training programs while playing a vital role in enhancing patient care within the musculoskeletal outpatient setting.

More about the NHS
The National Health Service (NHS) is a cornerstone of healthcare in the United Kingdom, established in 1948 with the simple yet profound principle of providing healthcare to all citizens, free at the point of use. This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
