The role of Lead Nurse Infection Prevention and Control at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Basingstoke is a dynamic leadership position aimed at enhancing patient safety and quality through effective infection prevention strategies. As the Deputy Director of Infection Prevention and Control, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the IPC team, developing and implementing policies, providing education and training for healthcare staff, and overseeing infection surveillance programs. As the Deputy DIPC and Lead IPC Nurse, you will play a crucial role in leading our Infection Prevention Control initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention across our Sites. You will support the DIPC in providing strategic direction and driving continuous improvement in IPC practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Inspire and lead the IPC team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation in infection prevention.
- Policy and Strategy Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of IPC policies and strategies, ensuring compliance with national and local standards.

- Surveillance and Reporting: Oversee infection surveillance programs, analyse data, and drive improvement actions.
