The University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Sterile Services Assistant to join their busy and friendly Sterile Services Department in Poole. The role involves the cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing, sterilizing, and distribution of surgical instruments and endoscopes to various wards and theatres. Candidates should be enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. No prior experience is required, as training will be provided.

The position operates on a continuous shift rota from Monday to Friday, with various shifts, including night and weekend work, and requires standing for extended periods. The successful candidate will follow departmental procedures to ensure that all instruments are safely decontaminated and available for use when needed. This role is critical in delivering timely and efficient services while adhering to legislative requirements for safe medical practices.
