Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialisation in Vitreo-Retinal for a 12-month fixed-term position at Queen's Medical Centre. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and committed to enhancing Ophthalmology services in Nottingham, working alongside a team of 24 consultants. Candidates must be fully registered with the GMC and either on the GMC Specialist Register for surgical Ophthalmology or nearing completion of their training.

The role involves managing a diverse range of ophthalmic patients, participating in outpatient clinics, Eye Casualty, theatre, administrative tasks, and supporting general ophthalmology clinical activities. The position includes a total of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), with specific allocations to be discussed during the interview. The successful applicant will also engage in teaching and training initiatives for medical students, trainees, and other healthcare professionals as part of the department's commitment to education.
