The post holder will support the Head of Department and their team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and delivered successfully.To chair and facilitate the system calls for BSW Integrated Care Board and partners and agree and progress actions from the system calls to promote system coordination and delivery of safe, timely and effective patient care.To work with system partners and regional colleagues to respond to demand and capacity changes, proactively monitoring patient flow across the system to deliver a coordinated response.Focus on mitigating risks across the acute, community and mental health urgent and emergency pathway.

This role is office based minimum 3 days per week.

Lead and take responsibility for the proactive management of risk and make system-level decisions to balance risk across the urgent and emergency care (UEC) system.The lead must utilise national data sets to inform surveillance, decision making and risk management specifically, the System Coordination Centre will have systems and process in place to monitor and respond to the nationally agreed target metrics including but not limited to support decision making.Manage the systems and processes to coordinate and manage returns to regional and national teams, ensuring oversight that returns are accurate and provided in line with System Coordination Centre Lead - Band 6timelines including SITREP returns, and completion of the capacity tracker including forcommunity rehabilitation beds.The lead will link with Clinical Lead in Care Coordination to support management of clinical risk and escalation.To provide a statement of position for the on-call briefing meetingsTo provide BSW ICB EPRR and On-call with an end of day reportWill ensure that policies, procedures, and escalation points are adhered to.Where the SCC lead has a clinical registration, they will ensure clinical oversight of the function and decision making.Where the SCC lead does not have clinical registration, they will ensure that the ICB clinical lead is informed and aware of pressure in the UEC and wider system pathways.The postholder will be required to participate in a rota that covers 7 days per week
