The role of Housekeeper/Storekeeper – Theatres at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a part-time position requiring 22.5 hours per week, primarily based at Whiston Hospital, with potential work at St Helens Hospital. The successful candidate will be integral to the Theatre Team, performing various household support tasks under the supervision of the Team Leader. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and safety within the Operating Theatre Department, overseeing stock levels for clinical and non-clinical items, ensuring proper storage and rotation of supplies, and upholding patient privacy and confidentiality.

Additionally, the role entails participation in a multi-disciplinary team, compliance with health and safety policies, and maintaining staff facilities like changing rooms and tearooms. The position involves some physical activity, such as moving stock, and requires attendance at mandatory training sessions. An enhanced DBS check is necessary due to the nature of the role, which is crucial in promoting a safe and effective environment for patients and staff alike.
