We are looking to appoint a Practice Manager with a proven track record in both operational delivery and strategic planning. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established thriving Training Practice in the University Town of Lampeter, Ceredigion.
This is a full time position, based mainly at Lampeter Surgery and occasionally at Llanybydder Surgery. Please note working from home is not an option with this position.
Our ideal candidate will have previous Senior Management experience, but we are prepared to invest in someone who may not have that experience but can demonstrate they can achieve all elements of the job description. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, organised individual who will enjoy delivering a high standard of work in a collaborative environment. Not afraid to make change, but also comfortable with working with systems and processes that are in place. Candidates will need to demonstrate at interview that they are technically knowledgeable, organised and possess excellent communication skills.
Reporting to the Partners, the Practice Manager activities will be varied and will include managing:
Building and Facilities,Health and Safety,People Management and Patient Experience,Sustainability Planning,Finance and IT Services.

The Practice Manager will play a key role to ensure the smooth, efficient running of the Practice, supporting the GP Partners and managing all business, staffing, operational and administrative areas of the Practice. This role is also pivotal in the strategic planning of the practice.
Location and Role
Based at Taliesin Surgery, Lampeter with responsibility also for Brynmeddyg Surgery, Llanybydder
The Practice Manager must have access to transport to be able to commute to and in between practices when required.
Job Purpose
The primary function of the Practice Manager position is to hold responsibility for the operational and administrative duties including facilities and IT management for the practice.
Initiative, enthusiasm, and outstanding organisational, communication and people management skills will be crucial to prioritise the demands and opportunities in this busy practice.
Reporting directly to the Partners, the role requires an individual who embraces challenges and is passionate about delivering tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Someone who is experienced at dealing with a multitude of business administrative duties and uses positive communication to all colleagues.
