Medway Community Healthcare is seeking a Specialist GP to join their community orthopaedic clinical assessment service in Gillingham, primarily due to an upcoming retirement. This part-time role (1-2 days a week) will involve working collaboratively with a diverse team of senior Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to provide high-quality musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments and treatments within the Medway and Swale regions. The candidate should have experience in orthopaedics and MSK, be capable of conducting peripheral joint and soft tissue injections, and be willing to learn ultrasound-guided injection techniques.

Responsibilities of the Specialist GP include triaging and managing patient care, providing clinical leadership, supervising and training staff, as well as developing and implementing effective clinical practices within the MSK service. The role also involves detailed patient assessments, diagnostic testing, care planning, and ensuring adherence to local and national clinical pathways and policies. Strong communication, analytical, and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping and engage in continuous professional development.
