NHS ROLE MODEL
The role of Advanced Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust involves providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services within a Major Trauma centre, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the Lead Care Group pharmacist for Surgery & Critical Care. Candidates are expected to develop their clinical expertise in specific surgical areas, act as a team leader for the ward-based pharmacy team, and engage in practice research, while working towards consultant credentialing and practicing as a non-medical prescriber.
