The position also includes responsibilities for assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, aligned with Trust and national standards. In addition to direct patient care, the role involves mentoring and supervising student nurses and healthcare assistants. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to holistic, individualized care are essential. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, but applicants must possess NMC registration.

We are a small, dedicated and friendly team caring for patients with a wide variety of gynaecological conditions. Brighton is the regional centre for the treatment of gynaecology cancers and therefore most elective procedures carried out are for gynaecology - oncology. L11 East also cares for emergency patients and has both the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Units based there.
We have a fantastic team of experienced nurses, including Clinical Nurse Specialists willing to share their knowledge and support you to deliver care at a high standard.
You will be highly motivated and dynamic with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with the multi-disciplinary teams and strive to provide high standards of care for women with all gynaecological conditions.
Full and part time work considered.
You must be registered with the NMC, or a student nurse soon to be qualified.
- The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the professional evidence based nursing care delivered to patients.
- Ensuring the highest quality, effective and compassionate care is received by the patients and their families / carers whilst on the ward.
- Excellent, holistic and individualised nursing care will be delivered through assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating.This will be in line with local, Trust wide and National policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
- Promoting a supportive learning environment in which to supervise and mentor student nurses and Health Care Assistants.
- The post holder will act as an advocate whilst demonstrating effective communication and listening skills.
