The role of Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist - Breast Care Nurse at Swansea Bay University Health Board involves managing a patient caseload in the Singleton Breast Care Unit. The nurse will support patients undergoing breast investigations and those transitioning into the Breast Cancer pathway, collaborating closely with various healthcare professionals to deliver effective diagnostic services. Responsibilities include participating in clinical audits and research, enhancing practice through ongoing study and training, and utilizing IT systems.

Strong communication skills are essential as the nurse will need to interact with patients and families facing difficult cancer diagnoses with sensitivity and compassion. The position requires completion or progress towards the ENB A11 or Principles of Breast Care Practice, a flexible work approach, and the ability to prioritize tasks within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable but not mandatory, and the health board encourages applications from both Welsh and English speakers.
