The Surgery Clinical Board is seeking an experienced, skilled and resilient manager to take on a lead role within the Perioperative Department in the University Hospital of Wales.
The role will encompass management of the Pre-Assessment, Theatres and the HDSU sited at UHW.
The Theatre complex at Cardiff and Vale is the largest in Wales. Our theatre complex provides circa 40 theatres over 2 sites and employs approximately 800 staff.
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 months due to the needs of the service

Key requirements of the role include:
Experience and evidence of delivering sustainable change in complex theatre environments
Experience and evidence of delivering improvement in theatre productivity
Experience and evidence of leading financial recovery in a perioperative directorate
Experience and evidence of developing and implementing workforce planning leading to improvements in recruitment and retention
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
