Position Summary: Assistant Psychologist (Fixed Term - 12 months)
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust
The role of Assistant Psychologist involves supporting the East Berkshire Managing Emotions Mental Health Transformation Programme (MEP), which focuses on addressing emotional regulation difficulties for individuals with personality disorders. Key responsibilities include:
  • Co-facilitating and coordinating psychoeducational group interventions for adults with significant mental health issues.
  • Collaborating with service users, families, and a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Monitoring and managing risks under supervision from a clinical/counseling psychologist.
  • Conducting administrative tasks, audits, and service evaluations, ensuring all clinical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications Required:
  • A minimum of a 2:1 honors degree in psychology or higher.
  • Eligibility for graduate membership of a core professional body (e.g., BPS, HCPC).
  • Experience working with individuals with personality or emotional regulation challenges.
  • Strong communication and IT skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information.
The position offers a blend of in-person and online group delivery, with travel required across the East Berkshire area.
