CANCER NHS RESPIRATORY MEDICINE
The North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a full-time Locum Respiratory Consultant Physician for a 10 PA role, primarily focused on outpatient services related to Sleep and Lung Cancer. Key responsibilities include providing clinical leadership in the outpatient clinic, training and supervising medical trainees and health professionals, and actively participating in the development of clinical guidelines, audits, and clinical governance initiatives. The physician will also collaborate with colleagues and nursing staff to optimize resource use and contribute to quality enhancement projects.
Additional responsibilities may include educational supervision of junior doctors, leading quality and service development roles within the department, and flexibility in undertaking varied clinical tasks as needed. The candidate is expected to engage in the department's teaching program and participate in continuing professional development (CPD) activities, aligning with standards set by relevant Royal Colleges or specialty bodies.

Full - time Respiratory Consultant locum post consisting of 10 PA's supporting outpatient clinics withparticular focus on Sleep and Lung Cancer services.
The appointee will be expected to:
- Deliver day-to-dayclinical care and leadership in Respiratory outpatient clinic
- Provide training, supervision, and support to doctors in training, medical students, and other health professionals working in respiratory medicine.
- Lead in on-going development of clinical guidelines inrespiratorymedicine, audit andotherkey aspectsoftheclinical governance agenda.
- Work with consultant colleagues and nursing staff to ensure efficient use of Trust's resources and contribute actively to clinical governance in the department and to development of quality enhancement projects in the unit
- Show flexibility and undertake different appropriate clinical tasks at the request of theclinicalmanager,asthe needarises.
- Actively participate in the department's teachingprogramand undertake supervision,teaching and training of medical traineesand other multi-professional staff, in line withguidancefrom therelevant RoyalCollegesorspecialty bodies.
- Activelyparticipateinclinicalguidelines development, auditandCPD.
SPAactivitymayadditionally include:
- Educationalsupervision of junior doctors
- Lead quality and service roles within the department
- Any additional SPA activity will be agreed with the post holder and additional Quality & service SPA allocation will be given
