The Deputy Director of Nursing for Community Health Services at West London NHS Trust is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring high standards of nursing and multi-disciplinary care across community health services. The role involves collaborating with lead nurses, matrons, and other deputy directors to implement the Nursing Strategy, enhance inter-professional working, and oversee the education and development of nursing staff. The post holder will also address any shortcomings in nursing practice, lead on healthcare governance initiatives, and report on progress to senior management. Key responsibilities include strategic input at the management level, participation in trust-wide nursing developments, conducting disciplinary investigations, and fostering public and patient involvement in service delivery.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and governance skills, liaising with both clinical and executive teams to ensure efficient health service delivery and adherence to quality standards. The role emphasises the need for collaboration with various stakeholders, the implementation of clinical care models, and the establishment of robust clinical governance frameworks in line with the Trust’s Quality Governance Framework.
